Fontainebleau Aviation is a full-service FBO located at Opa Locka Executive Airport and is owned and operated by Turnberry Associates. The facility embodies the glamour and excitement of a previous era while delivering extraordinary services and luxury to its discriminating clientele. When Turnberry re-branded the facility, they turned to yazi to design new wayfinding and publication materials that would promote and announce the FBO’s new identity. We designed a complete exterior wayfinding program that showcased the new branding and print graphics that promote all of the services and amenities offered at the facility.
The Project:
SIMPLE ELEGANCE
The FBO’s luxurious setting, and first-class services needed to be reflected in the branding, promotion and onsite graphics. We designed promotional brochures and advertisements with a nod to the elegance of the art deco era—combined with a contemporary layout and presentation. The blue and white color palette are symbolic of the sky and clouds.
DECO STYLE
The site signage also reflects the brand’s art deco inspirations. Large halo lit logos are mounted to the facade’s of each hanger. The monument identity sign has forms inspired by deco-era architecture, as do the identity signs displayed at the building’s entries. Bold and graphic banner treatments that support and extend the brand, are mounted to the fences surrounding the terminal building. The unity between the graphics, promotional materials, and site signage and graphics helps create a strong brand and a unified sense of place.
