Miami Parks

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS & WAYFINDING

The City of Miami hired yazi in 2020 to design a new comprehensive branded wayfinding program for the public park system in order to improve the identity, function, and enjoyment of City parks.  The City 's public park system features a diverse collection of over 150 public parks totaling more than 1,400 acres. In addition to to urban greenspaces, the parks are home to community centers, swimming pools, nature trails, beaches, natural hammocks, water parks, natural preserves, walking and biking trails, athletic fields, playgrounds and more.

Effective Communication.

Every day we are bombarded with information. It is becoming more and more challenging to get people's attention and hold it. At yazi, we understand the challenges of effectively communicating with your audience. Good design reaches beyond the aesthetics to focus on the user experience. It is intuitive, accessible, visually captivating, and reflective of it's intended audience.

Columbia, SC

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS & WAYFINDING

With an ever increasing volume of visitors to Columbia each year, the City sought to replace their old and outdated wayfinding program. Yazi was hired by the City to plan and design a new branded wayfinding program to direct visitors to Columbia’s public destinations, vibrant districts, and public parking. Working in collaboration with Experience Columbia, district representatives, City staff, and SCDOT we created a new wayfinding program for the City that promotes the attributes and attitude of today’s Columbia.

Lowe Art Museum

BRANDING & GRAPHIC DESIGN

Founded in 1950, the Lowe Art Museum at the University of Miami houses a world-class collection of art comprising nearly 19,000 objects and spanning 5,000 years of global art history and culture. What’s more, it is an institute of learning for University students and a cultural resource for the community at large. In 2009, the Museum’s director asked yazi to create a new graphic direction for their printed materials, publications, and exhibition catalogs—and we have been privileged to work with the Lowe ever since.

Our founder and principal has nearly 40 years experience in design and creative problem solving, and we bring this knowledge and experience to every project. We have built our wisdom in the real world, one project at a time—it's the kind of wisdom that only years of experience can produce. Still, we love to be challenged and we never stop learning.

Margaritaville at Sea Islander

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS & WAYFINDING

In November 2023, Margaritaville at Sea purchased the Costa Atlantica with plans to refurbish the vessel as their second Margaritaville themed cruise ship—Margaritaville at Sea Islander. In 2022 yazi assisted in the re-design of the signage and wayfinding onboard their first cruise ship the Margaritaville at Sea Paradise, and one year later the cruise line again turned to us help re-brand the second vessel to the Margaritaville standards.

University of Miami

ENVIRONMENTAL GRAPHICS & WAYFINDING

For nearly two decades, the University of Miami has trusted our environmental graphic design experience to evolve and grow campus wayfinding at the University. With three different campuses, the present day University is an evolving mixture of historic buildings, core architecture, renovated spaces, and new construction.  A few of our active and completed projects include the creation of new University-wide interior and exterior campus wayfinding standards; a new exterior wayfinding program for the Virginia Key campus; exterior directional and orientation signage for new on campus housing villages; and construction and temporary sign standards and graphics,
