Branding | Graphic Design
Client: Florida International University, Miami, Florida
Completion Date: 2001
With a student body of more than 56,000, Florida International University is one of the largest universities in the nation. In 2001, the university tasked yazi with refreshing the school's identity. The University wanted to update their Great Seal to better reflect their modern day campus, curriculum, and Miami location. Our approach was to retain seal's original concept—but rework the graphic elements and text—to create an evolution of the University's brand and image. The school's blue and gold color scheme was integrated into the seal in several different applications to allow versatility in its use.
The Council of 100 was established to bridge academia and industry in order to ensure FIU graduates were best prepared for the professional world. Yazi developed the branding used to represent and promote the Council throughout many University materials and publications.
