Inter Miami CF Stadium

A NEW TEAM IS BORN

In 2018, Major League Soccer awarded it’s 25th franchise to a group led by CEO Jorge Mas and soccer legend David Beckham, and Inter Miami CF was born. The team constructed a new stadium and training facility in Fort Lauderdale — on the former site of Lockhardt Stadium—in advance of the start of play in March 2020. The team has plans for an eventual move to a new stadium in 2026 to be built near downtown Miami.

THE PITCH 

Yazi came aboard in late 2019, leaving us only a few months to plan and design the wayfinding system. Working closely with ownership, the project architect, and ACU Signs, we quickly analyzed the proposed facilities and their operational needs, and established a plan of action. We held working meetings with the team’s operations leadership to reach consensus on our proposed solutions, and worked closely with the project architect and sign fabricator to rapidly bring these solutions to life.

EXTRA TIME 

With just a few months until the opening matches, our solutions went into fabrication. We worked closely with ACU Signs on the details of individual sign types to speed fabrication and maintain design intent. The bold colors and graphics supported the stadium environment, and helped support and elevate the team's brand.
