The South Florida Logistics Center is a 2 million square foot logistics complex with unparalleled access to South Florida’s busiest air and sea ports. Yazi planned and designed a new property identity and site wayfinding program for this large South Florida logistics campus.
THE PROBLEM
The nine building campus is a true intermodal transfer point for goods moving through the region by all modes of transportation—air, ocean, rail, and truck. The existing facility suffered from a lack of clear identity, and poor wayfinding to the numerous warehouses inside. The existing property identity signage was out of date, and ineffective. The internal roadway system was largely unsigned, and building identification signage was small and inadequate.
THE SOLUTION
Yazi planned and designed a new property identity and site wayfinding program for the complex. The existing monument identity sign was re-designed and re-branded to provide better identity and recognition at the property’s front door. Illuminated identity signs were added to several facades to improve identity and recognition of the facility from exterior approaches. Internal directional signs were designed to help drivers navigate the complex, and provide much needed direction to the numerous warehouses and addresses throughout the center.
